Louisiana is seeing a major rise in veterans accessing VA benefits—tripling the national growth rate and signaling stronger outreach and support across the state.
According to a recent report from the Louisiana Radio Network, Louisiana veterans are utilizing VA benefits at a rapidly increasing rate. From fiscal 2023 to 2024, veteran participation in key U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs programs grew by 6%, compared to a 2% national average.
More than 82,000 veterans across the state now receive over $2 billion in VA compensation, reflecting both improved access and increased awareness.
