This year, Louisiana proved something we've believed from the start: when you invest in military families, everyone wins.

We're proud to share The Boot's 2025–2026 Annual Report, a look at a year of remarkable growth in our mission to recruit, return, and retain military service members and their families in Louisiana. What began as a bold idea has become a proven model, and the numbers tell the story.

In the past fiscal year, The Boot placed 255 service members into Louisiana careers, more than double the year before, and generated an estimated $19.7 million in direct economic impact for the state. Our statewide employer network grew to 371 partners, and we hosted or partnered on 228 recruitment and engagement events connecting talented service members with the communities and companies ready to welcome them.

The year also brought national recognition. Louisiana was named the 2026 Community Leader Impact Award recipient by Hiring Our Heroes, an honor we accepted alongside the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs at the 10th Annual Military Spouse Employment Summit in Washington, D.C.

Behind every one of those numbers is a person: a service member deciding where to build the rest of their life, a spouse finding a career of their own, a family choosing to call Louisiana home. That's the work, and we're just getting started.

Explore the full report below to see the people, partnerships, and progress behind our biggest year yet.
